    <p>guess I wasn't clear enough</p>
    <p>The DVD-R came from a local TV station who tapped the venue -
      they appear to be quality media and burned <br>
      I might be able to dig into station staff to find out who and how
      they burned them.<br>
    </p>
    <p>The drives I tried them on (tried a number) all say either 'Wrong
      type' (TV with built in drive) or show no content (computers >
      1)<br>
      Which I thought was the issue, however it happened on too many of
      them.</p>

            been a problem since the  inception of DVD-R. It all comes
            down to 1. Quality media, 2. Quality authoring. Since you
            already have the DVD-R and it is from a quality source, then
            how you author the disc is your biggest concern. If you
            create it with one of the low-cost software factories, you
            may have problems.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

                  a sizeable (40) batch of DVD-R from a local venue we'd

                  I've found many are DVD-R that will not read in more
                  recent players.<br>
                  Anyone have experience with various versions of DVDs ?<br>
                  <br>
                  Is this just an issue with computer drives ?<br>
                  <br>
                  Any suggestions who can convert to a more recent
                  format ?<br>
                  Or to a digital drive ?<br>
                  <br>
                  Any ideas would be helpful.<br>
