Mesh is a good idea - I use UniFi -
https://ui.com/us/en/wifi
I have about 4 of them spread around the house and garage - they are tied into my physical network in about 2 spots
Note: I have a group of servers and NAS boxes for the work I do, so it's probably more than most need.

You'd need a hub from the best working router in your location.
If you get someone to do the wiring, I have a box of at least a few 100 ft I'd like to pass on
you'd need to add the wire jacks (or get someone to add those) - I have the tools to do all that.
The wire is a bit old - no idea on the life time - I can say the runs that came from that box are working fine.

Good luck - Rich
content upstairs and downstairs. Probably would need a plan and involve snaking some cable. Do it once properly and forget it. I need real network engineering to get it all right. Part of it may be that we are using T-Mobile home internet now. Connection is
spotty sometimes. I need a consistent 2.5ghz band for our new SimpliSafe system's camera. We have a bunch of devices that frequently go awry: Ooma IP phone, SimpliSafe, printer, Roomba etc.
