<div dir="ltr"><div>For the same reason, I am planning to get this modem + router combination in my studio space, on recommendation from a friend w/ a corporate IT/ops background. I have a Motorola modem and Netgear at home for the same reason. Better/faster hardware than the stock Comcast stuff, plus the gear is paid for within 1-2 years. </div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Motorola MB8600 Cable Modem $160:<br><a href="https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1345561-REG/motorola_mb8600_10_docsis_3_1_32x8_cable.html" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank"></a><a href="https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1345561-REG/motorola_mb8600_10_docsis_3_1_32x8_cable.html" target="_blank">https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1345561-REG/motorola_mb8600_10_docsis_3_1_32x8_cable.html</a><br><br>Ubiquiti Networks airCube AC Router $73:<br><a href="https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1371154-REG/ubiquiti_networks_acb_ac_us_aircube_ac_wi_fi_access_point.html" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1371154-REG/ubiquiti_networks_acb_ac_us_aircube_ac_wi_fi_access_point.html</a><br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div>I don't know as much about extenders / mesh network solutions for the home. I have 50 mbps down and decent latency (enough to do Zooms for work w/out a problem) with just the Netgear AC router.
