Message-ID: Wow! I never imagined that the network would reach its second decade when I started outreach to business owners to create the very first meeting. Nate Treloar offered space in his south Amherst office and sent out information to the opening event through his 90-person Christmas list. I added a number of people, including members of the new western Mass. Technology Enterprise Council (TEC). We expected maybe 10 people. Instead the office was swamped on that amazing night that Hidden Tech (then Hidden TEC) was born. Richard Roth took over building the discussion list with permission of a new board and eventually led development of today's website. By September we had a least 250 on the HT discussion list and by 2010 Rich said there were 2,000. If anyone wants to celebrate with me I will take you to the location on Wentworth Farm in Amherst where we held HT's first anniversary party. Or we can meet in Formosa (formerly Amherst Chinese) where our first ever board meeting was held. And a BIG THANK YOU to Rich for keeping Hidden Tech alive. How about writing to this list and tell us all how it has helped you build your business. And find me to tell me your experiences. That would make me very happy. be well! This custom CRM is a legacy ASPX website that uses MS Reporting Server in the background and needs access to an email server to send reports to agents. I am sure the client would be ok paying for transition efforts, and has been paying me hosting since 2016. These are good, local people, and I feel bad not bringing them to the new server and staying with me. I asked if they'd prefer to move to a commercial, modern CRM. They are weighing their options. Best for them would be to have everything the same and have support from someone that knows ASPX and can continue to update the code. There is much potential, and they have the funds. Anyone interested? In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Happy birthday, Hidden Tech! How has the mailing list helped me? Great tech support for some of my tech issues, and the ability to pass along projects to this community for someone else to pick up is very helpful. Your early involvement to make it happen and Rich's tireless volunteerism to keep it running are both very much appreciated. Hidden tech is an invaluable tool. That said, I wish the website was better and more interactive. We are missing out on more opportunities. Where is the login link to update a listing? Also, it appears all the links in the footer are Rich's sites, and the copyright date says 2009. The search results on this page are obviously way out of date; there should be an option to sort by */updatedDate desc/*; and the description text is way too small. It should also include the date added or updated so we know how old the listing is. * https://www.hidden-tech.net/talent-search/?tsear=web My 2c.
