[Hidden-tech] Looking for pointers on Mac Backup

We have a new Mac (well new for us)
MacBook Pro:  16-inch, 2019, Intel Core, Sequoia 15.4.1

We've had Time Machine running for years, to a USB drive.
However I'd rather use NAS storage we have available.

SO looking for guidelines on setting up for NAS, which used to required 
a dedicated share or the like.
