Finding the headers varies from mail client to client. On Gmail, click the 3 dots next to the Reply icon and select "Show Original". Once you have that, it'll take some time to weed through the headers to look for useful data. This is a good example of a successful delivery: ARC-Authentication-Results: i=1; mx.google.com; dkim=passheader.i=@gmail.com header.s=20230601 header.b=h7ADTRHh; spf=pass (google.com: domain ofXXXXXX at gmail.com designates 209.85.220.41 as permitted sender)smtp.mailfrom=XXXXXXX at gmail.com; dmarc=pass (p=NONE sp=QUARANTINE dis=NONE) header.from=gmail.com You may also see headers from spam scanners with scores, rules, etc. Any failures would be something you should try to address. Microsoft provides a utility to analyze and improve readability: https://mha.azurewebsites.net/. Paste the header from the "Show Original" page, which is everything from the top of the message up to the first blank line. That will often be just after the "Subject:" line. Microsoft (Outlook 365, live.com, etc) is notoriously strict about certain spammy behaviors but others are ratcheting up their policies. I'm currently helping a client navigate this with their Constant Contact account. If the link shortener is the cause, you will probably see a spam filter rule mentioned in the headers. Tracking redirects are so pervasive these days that I don't think that would be the reason unless you're using a service known for malicious content. Best of luck - curious to hear about your findings. ?- Jeff -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I did some hunting and the only error I found like that talks about having an older browser that is out of date, sounds unlikely. Those notes point to browser features that are not enabled - like javascript, that sounds like you had a lot more trouble. I see 2 likely options - there is now a built-in chrome virus checker for the Windows version of Chrome, I've not seeing it there is a way to disable it. Or you have a virus checking addon from any virus software you have. There is one related issue - an 'advertising addon' is being used by the paid content which is what is blocked. Most likely browser - I've not see too many ISP issues of late. Also, your comment about only blocking NY Times content does seem very narrow of an issue. Good luck R. Deleted data can be recovered easily in certain circumstances. Do you love and trust the person you are giving these computers to? Have you ever had financial info or other sensitive data on these computers? Make sure you have backups of both computers before you start. Level 1: Follow steps 1?5 at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201065#eacs Then, it may be sufficient to create a new Administrator user; restart and log in using the new user account; delete your existing user account (and any others). This will leave the operating system and applications in place. In this scenario, it is likely the data you delete could be recovered easily by a nefarious person. Make sure to remove any applications or other software that can't be transferred to the new owner. For example, if you have paid for upgrades of, say, Office on a newer computer, you no longer have a license to run the old version, so that software should be removed before passing the machines on. Level 2: Follow all steps in Apple's instructions for erasing and reselling a Mac: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201065#eacs This is sufficient for the average person. Because this erases the disk, you would provide the installation disks for the software you no longer use. If you have download-only software on the old computers that is transferrable to the new owner, you would want to back that up?ideally by downloading the installer and saving that on a USB drive or something to reinstall later. In this scenario, some of the data you erase may still be recovered by a determined hacker. There are numerous variables in the flow chart for the exact sequence of steps that are beyond the scope of an email. If you need help with this, it's best to get someone in-person. Level 3: Encrypt the drive, fill it to capacity, erase it with random writes or "zero all data"?? Sounds like this is probably overkill for your scenario? If so, transferring your data should be easy. In fact, that?s where it should normally reside, and keep only your programs on the internal harddrive. If you don?t have an external drive, I think that?s the first thing you should do. You can get a 1Tb drive for less than $75, and a 4Tb drive for under $100. Staples, BestBuy, etc. If you are concerned about erasing all vestiges of personal data even after it?s been transferred off your drive and is invisible to the human eye but might be able to be recovered by a data forensics expert, that?s beyond my ken but I?m sure others will advise. Meanwhile, you can at least drag all those files over. Hope this is at least a little helpful, Ed = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Ed Bride Associates Edward J.
