Chris, Selling books on Amazon requires no up-front expenses and is relatively easy to get started with. Consider eBay as well. There are numerous free tutorials available online to walk you through the steps. And if your Chinese books would be of interest to Chinese language learners (at any level of mastery) you can post about them *once* on Chinese Forums (https://www.chinese-forums.com). Also free. Just make sure your post there is factual and non-hypey. Can it be done relatively easily and without breaking the bank? What I have in mind is low volume and not necessarily long term. Significant overhead makes no sense. ----- An alternative might be if someone nearby has a setup already (for books) and is willing to take an allotment on commission. I have 50 copies (new, shrink wrapped) of a Chinese language publication that is otherwise not available in the West. I also have an indeterminate, but small, number of DVDs of historical diaries (in English with the cover and table of contents in English and Chinese) that have an overlapping market with the book, which is the Autobiography of David Crockett Graham. This might be an easier option for me, especially if there were someone pleasant and agreeable to work with. -- Chris Hoogendyk 胡可思 Amherst, MA <chris.hoogenyk at gmail.com> <choogendyk at earthlink.net> Erdös 4 _______________________________________________ Hidden-discuss mailing list - home page: http://www.hidden-tech.net Hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net You are receiving this because you are on the Hidden-Tech Discussion list.
