Without exception every time I have posted a query here I have found an answer to my question. Last week I asked for a reference for someone who could hotwire a Sqarespace site. Within the day Bram Moreinis replied, sharing a link to a Squarepace site that he thought did what I wanted. His idea presented not only a very simple workaround, one that did not require any custom coding, but also greatly improved the UX of the site I am building. He didn?t build the site he referenced, nor did he have anything to gain from sharing it. On his own nickel has found and shared the site because he thought it would be of help to me. Such an open, generous and expert attitude is such a joy to experience. Thank you, Bram. Thank you, Hidden Tech. We are lucky people that we can be there for each other. Most MTAs will reject connections from servers that they cannot get a valid hostname for AND/OR if the HELO name does not match that hostname. One item that might be helpful is to create a town DBA,? and regjster with the state/Fed to get an EIN, then you have an ID separate from your SSN, and open the checking acct using that. As I recall, you register with the State and they issue a EIN that is also recorded federally. What I've looked into about Trusts requires a lot more effort and setup - you might just look into a state non-profit It's cheaper than a federal 501c3 non-profit. On the other hand, depending on what you are selling and how much - might not be worth the effort. and just go ahead and sell as an individual, donate the returns and deduct them. Some banks require you to have a business account (rather than a personal account) in order to use a company name, and in turn, they require that the company name be registered in your town/city as a DBA. Once you get such an account set up (if the bank's requirements aren't too onerous), then showing a history of deposits and withdrawals is a piece of cake. Years ago I got a call from my bank either from an audit or from their preparation for an audit telling me that I wasn't allowed to have proceeds from a credit card merchant account deposited into a personal account. Somehow I'd earlier slipped through some cracks. We (the bank and I) just changed one of my personal accounts to a business account, and all was fine from then on. They never demanded to see documentation that I had registered the company name that the merchant account was in. So my view is that whether or not what you want to do is relatively easy depends on your bank. Good luck!
