Hi Christine,

Yes, to have a website you need web hosting and a domain name, which you 
can get separately or a lot of companies offer both. There are lots of 
registrars, some good ones include

https://namecheap.com
https://hover.com

I don't recommend GoDaddy, they are expensive and they nickel and dime 
you, and I disapprove of their tactic of saying "Starting at" and 
quoting a low price without letting you know that the next year it's 
going to jump up by a lot. Very slimy. The one benefit is that they have 
basic domain protection (whois protection) to keep your information 
private, but a lot of companies are offering that now.
