SS number was given away. The perp also initiated some screen and/or vpn remote access (in the guise of trouble shooting) with their iphone. This is a person with some complex assets and who has also done political activism work that includes sensitive/confidential info, putting others at risk should their accounts be targeted. My question is: does anyone know of trusted legal/tech resources with expertise in protection and cleanup from the fallout of such a breach? They have have already changed passwords and notified banks etc., but their accounts and vulnerabilities are numerous and complex (and they can afford a top expert in this area). Any suggestions? thanks! He printed hard copies with a small publisher. Now, he just discovered yesterday that the publisher has put them up for sale on Amazon, as Kindle editions, not hard copies, but this is without any notification to my friend. My friend needs to take legal action. I am suggesting perhaps a Cease and Desist letter. He does not have a written contract with the publisher, it was a gentleman's agreement with someone he has known for many years. It is really unfortunate that the publisher could not be trusted. Does anyone have experience with this type of situation? To make this even more complex, this is happening in Kenya. My friend is Congolese, and someone I have known for ten years; he is trustworthy. I have been helping him with design and copy editing on these books, and know the project first-hand, and know it is a labor of love and is how he is supporting himself. However, I have no jurisdiction in taking any action in this situation myself personally. And sadly, my friend does not have funds for hiring an attorney. He has asked me to try to help him figure out a solution. And for sure, Kenya has different laws and legal strategies than here in the US. I will be grateful for any and all feedback and advice you can provide, Deb -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I have some creative projects in mind that require skills that I have either in small degree, or not at all, and am wondering who's out there that could teach me these skills - and/or do some development work on a freelance basis. I'm specifically hoping to hire locally so it would be possible to meet in person - at least once in while. I'm completely open to hiring students who are still learning these technologies themselves - as long as their skill level is far above mine. The areas where I seek expertise are: - Game development: I have some game projects in mind, and am currently (slowly) learning game dev with the Unity engine. I'm looking for someone who could help accelerate my Unity training in a more targeted way - or possibly do some development on an hourly basis. - Animation: This is to be able to move forward on creating music videos that would involve animation mixed in with live footage. I have ideas, I don't know how difficult they would be to achieve. It could be "animation kindergarten" - or not. I don't know enough to judge. I'm looking to hire someone who help me to evaluate the practicality of my own ideas, and then teach me some skills and/or do some of the production work themself. I'm a programmer by profession, and not afraid of a technical challenge - but this is new territory for me, so help is needed! If you're hesitant about teaching skills that you rely on for your own career (present or future), please rest assured that I would not become professional competition at any point! This is strictly to be able to proceed on projects that are personally interesting to me. Regards,?? Gordon Kramer -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... You can convert videos and change resolutions and batch render, etc..... I couldn't say whether it falls into the category of 'a super easy tool' or not...but it's free, so that's a nice start. I'm sure there are vids online for using it to batch render. I'm not sure if it's in your budget, but you might want to consider hiring someone to do the conversions for you and bill it to whomever is asking you to do the conversions. Perhaps someone on this list could recommend someone to help you out with that. Here's the link for Handbrake: https://handbrake.fr/ Good luck. We have a multi-license account and Admin dashboard. It looks like you can set up the graphics and customization for ?webinar? style use but not your everyday meetings. Any gurus here with tips or suggestions? There doesn?t seem to be much purpose to the branded landing page if attendees are only receiving a direct link to a generic looking meeting. For jobs like this, Sunraise has generally been cheaper than other quotes I've gotten but that doesn't mean you can't look around. It does seem high, but there are also setup costs and time costs that have to be amortized. I would expect to pay at least $10 per shirt. And I haven't had to do a job like this in quite a while, so I'm not aware about things like whether the supply chain crisis has hit the T-shirt industry.
