Northeast Sustainable Energy Association <https://nesea.org> is looking for someone to join our team who is passionate about the ability of marketing materials to build community. The ideal candidate does not need to have a background in building science, but will have experience with graphic design, email template editing, content management systems, as well as the ability to learn new software and systems quickly. The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day promotion of NESEA’s programs, membership, and events, and has primary responsibility for our graphic design, email marketing, social media, and website user experience. As such, this position collaborates regularly with NESEA staff as well as external partners. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop and oversee the implementation of an ongoing outreach/marketing plan and marketing calendar, with input from other staff. - Follow communications and marketing industry best practices. - Meet graphic design needs by creating digital graphics, e-blasts, print materials, web pages, and other marketing materials. - Maintain and improve print and digital mailing lists. - Manage social media platforms. - Primary responsibility for ensuring a positive user experience on nesea.org; work with other staff to update as necessary. - Maintain relationships with promotional and media partners. - Ensure that outreach and brand are compelling, comprehensive, timely, and are communicated effectively. - Monitor, review, and report on relevant marketing activity and results, e.g. e-blast open reports and Google Adwords as needed by other staff. - Work with program managers to establish and follow marketing budgets. - Maintain style guide and train staff as necessary. - Develop and maintain a system for storing graphics and NESEA event photos; coordinate event photography. SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES - Graphic design experience; proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite - Webpage and email template editing, including working with HTML and CSS - Technically adept; able to adopt new tools and software and learn new systems quickly - Familiarity with content management systems such as Drupal - CRM database maintenance experience - Basic video editing capabilities - Ability to work well and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people, - including board members, volunteers, staff, members, etc. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines - Ability to proofread and write clearly, concisely, and logically on a deadline - Adaptable and flexible to shifting opportunities, priorities, and needs - Commitment to the overall sustainability of NESEA and its mission - Availability and willingness to travel, at minimum, to two regional conferences per year PREFERRED EXPERIENCE - Two years of experience with graphic design, CRM maintenance, web page and email template editing, including working with HTML and CSS - Some experience in project management - We aim to interview from a range of backgrounds and plan to train the right person COMPENSATION - Full time, 40 hours/week, salaried with a range of $45-50k/year - Eligible for health insurance after 90 days of employment - 4 weeks (160 hours) paid time off (3 weeks vacation time, 1 week sick time, start accruing after first pay period) - 13 paid holidays - Eligible for 401(k) after 90 days (organization will match up to 1%) - Dog friendly office - Family leave policy - Flexible schedule (80% within standard business hours) - Primarily a work-from-home position; access to office space in Greenfield, MA - Regional travel required - Must reside within 2 hours of Greenfield, MA HOW TO APPLY - Send an email to jobs at nesea.org, subject line "Marketing Manager." - Attach a cover letter to the email explaining why you're interested in the job and why you think you'd be a good fit. - Attach your resume to the email as well. - We anticipate a start date of mid-May to early June, with flexibility possible in regards to personal circumstances. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
