[Hidden-tech] Mass Vax website problems

Check early every Thursday. I have used the state's site to find appointments, and last week, I signed in at about 10:30 and got an appt. at a CVS. This was after going into an online "waiting room" for about 5 minutes.

When you go to the state site, check smaller individual sites that do not immediately offer the message "full" but just say "see details". For example, I checked at about 10:30 this morning, and although the general message on the state site was that nothing was available, I clicked "see details" next to the Holyoke CVS and found availability at the Greenfield CVS! You can also go straight to CVS's own website instead. I do recommend CVS (and probably Walgreen's), as you can wait inside instead of in a car, and they are very well organized on crowd control and process. The one I went to in Palmer had a private room set up for the vax itself, and chairs for people to wait before and after the vax.

Best of luck. Next Thursday, they will be opening up to teachers, so hopefully they will work on more availability of sites before then--and the J&J brand will be available, so more supply than today.

this is has been a hot topic in many venues
Since your question is how, not why, I'll hold the very techie why's.
The simple why is the very high level of demand and too many 'medical'
not 'Google/amazon' level solutions.

If you are not Franklin county, FRCOG is not of use, for those up here,
check out at frcog.org
That's where we got appts for next week.

Any help for Hampshire county - more local sites seem to be less likely
to be overloaded.

Stay well - Rich

When the number on the other computers came up, the very same thing happened. Am I doing something wrong, or why is this happening? I am really frustrated.
