Right now I have a 9 year old macbook pro, but would consider buying a chrome book for this purpose, but now maybe a chromecast plug in. I could plug in ethernet to the laptop I have , but probably not the chrome book. Again, I'd rather not use the wifi bandwidth for the "entertainment center." I am pretty sure I don't need software to share the screen on an apple product, as I recall there is a mirror(?) function for displays. Diana. I will look at the links people have sent. Thanks!
