Flash cards are commonly used in medical education. I work with a doc who has a significant 'question bank' looking for an online solution to offer quizzes. We've looked at LearnDash, a WordPress plug-in, but they are more focused on course creation rather than just quizzes and dashboard with results. * Do any of you have good ideas of other plug-ins or services out there that could be central to an online question databank for wilderness medicine? As always, thank you for any pointers! Christian Here are the detailed requirements he sent me. Definitely negotiable. - has a log in page where each user has a unique ID and password - is very simple and easy to use (kind of abstract, but basically user friendly) - the site would have a large bank of question that admin (myself and two other faculty members) could add questions to - The MOST important feature: a user could create their own exams/quizzes of varying sizes, various topics, and timed vs untimed. Basically have the ability for the user to create custom exams with a variety of topics and factors(for example: user could create a 10 question quiz or a 50 question quiz, timed or un-timed, could see answers immediately OR after exam is done. Also want to ability click certain topics and create quizzes that contain only 1 topic OR a variety of topics OR a random set of topics for that particular quiz so if the user only wanted to study hypothermia and frost bite questions there would be an option to generate a quiz with only those topics rather than randomly generated questions. Of course if they only wanted randomly generate questions it would do that by default) - questions would have the ability to show images - admin could create exams and "assign" them to users - ideally, but not make or break, there would be a homepage where user could see their progress broken down (ie, 74% pass rate overall, how many questions have you answered correctly vs wrong) that way they users can see what topics they are strong in and which they are weak in. Again this would be nice, but not a make or break. " -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
