Well that sounds like a nightmare. How big is your external drive? That certainly sounds like a way to proceed. I think I’d try it in batches. And I did a bit of google search and didn’t find an answer but maybe someone here knows - I think you have to get the files out of their separate user accounts to be able to manage them together. Another thought - don’t try to manage the duplication - just have the files on an external drive and when you need an old file go and get it. My two cents.
