Though not a mac user, I'm on  the "Green Earth Computer" bandwagon because of their customer service, diagnostic & problem solving ability and "buy local" experience.

I only work with YES when in warranty, because of their turnaround time. Also, they can seem impatient and bored with it all. ...I like Laptop Repair when not in warranty (Greenfield). Their shop is a little crusty around the edges, but they've done good by me. I've heard a lot of great things about Green Earth Computing in Northampton, and they get much higher online reviews than YES.

Funny, I’ve had the opposite experience. I won’t go into the sordid details, but I will NEVER tell anyone I like to work with Left-Click, ever again. Disastrous experience followed up by a customer-losing response when asked to help resolve the mess.
Yes has always done fine by me, though it’s been years since they’ve done any real heavy lifting.
Kieran and Greg on his team have totally done me solid in recent years.
Good luck!

I would suggest literally anywhere other than YES computers, and there are a great many people in the area whose experience mirrors my own. YES simply is neither a trustworthy nor knowledgeable team, sorry to say.
Leftclick is a great place to start, and there are some places around Amherst that I’ve heard good things about. I’m a former NYC Apple Genius who may be able to help as well, if you prefer onsite help.

Left click gets my vote! And Yes computers.

Hi All,

I’m sure it’s been asked before, but I need an excellent repair person for my iMac.

Thanks,

Fred
