Anyone can edit (almost) any Wikipedia page; there is no need to be an approved "editor." There is a small number of pages which are restricted due to vandalism; those can only be edited by experienced editors. Who is her relative and what kind of changes is she looking to make? --Alan -------- Original Message -------- Subject: [Hidden-tech] wikipedia editors? Date: 27.12.2020 18:53 From: Tom Murray via Hidden-discuss <hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net> To: Hidden-discuss <Hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net> Hi HTs. I am writing for a friend (really!). A semi-famous relative of hers has passed away and she wants to edit their wikipedia page but (apparently) needs to be a wikipedia "editor" to do that. I thought this list would be a good place to look for help. Is anyone here an editor and willing to help? I expect it would be like a 20-30 minute thing where she gives you the text to insert and you add it. thanks--happy holidays to all, Tom ===---===---===---===---===---===---===---===---===---===---===---===---===---===---===---===---===---=== Tom Murray, EdD Knowing and Unknowing Reality (read it here [1]) Chief Visionary and Instigator @ Open Way Solutions — www.openwaysolutions.com [2] Senior Research Fellow in Cognitive Tools, Educational Technology & E-Dialogue @ UMass Amherst — www.tommurray.us [3] 575 Bridge Street #12-5, Florence, MA 01062; c: 413.695-and-2800.
