[Hidden-tech] need way to import name and company into InDesign badge template

You should be able to open ID files in temporary (or trial) mode since you dont need/want to save your changes in ID. See what’s in the save as menu. Convert the type to outlines if you can.  You should be able to save it as a jpeg image or editable pdf that you can use in word or convert to something else. Or find someone (sorry, not me) who can open the file and resave it for you.
