The College of Information and Computer Sciences (CICS) at UMASS Amherst 
is looking to hire some entry level Linux administrators to join our IT 
team.  The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree (ideally in an IT 
related field), is very energetic and ready to learn about various 
flavors of linux, wants to grow a career and stay in this area, can work 
in a team creating new services and maintaining existing services, 
etc.   Our team currently maintains over 1000 computers including 
several high performance compute clusters, group servers, email servers, 
web servers, etc, and our College is growing very rapidly adding 6+ 
faculty a year (which brings in 30-50+ graduate students in addition 
yearly)

Job Details:

- Full time position (40/hrs week)
- Initially unbenefited position but with potential unionized benefited 
position within several months of hiring
- Initial pay based on experience, but generally 20-25/hr.
