Hi Lynne, LoL! I also have a cat but have never run into this particular problem, e.g. cat hair, but do occasionally need to clean out normal dust accumulation. Yours must be a long haired kitty. I thinking you might need an anti-static mousepad? Maybe with the heat on and if your house is low humidity, there might be a lot of static?
