[Hidden-tech] With Alexa no longer useful, where do you get traffic info on a site?

Back in the old days, if I wanted to get a sense of a site's popularity, I
went to alexa.com and typed in the URL. Now what I get is an offer of a
freebie trial. What no-cost tools are folks using to determine numbers of
visitors?

Thanks, as always.
