Starting from scratch is therefore pretty daunting, typically you find a base theme and work from that, or you just pick a theme that looks like what you want. We still do a lot of design work, but it almost always starts with a theme like Divi. About 3 days ago our site, www.ptco.org [1] was tagged as "suspicious". Every once in a while sitelock sends me a report about "malware" and encourages me to pay 70 dollars a month for a "firewall". Now we have a service that includes monitoring and a "back up/restore" with fatcow. Fatcow, in this instance, had me reactivate or activate our SSL certificate but it seems like this is a work in progress. I am also getting a lot of "email blocked" messages because the emails resemble "phishing scams." Any suggestions? So if parking your car somewhere is an option, drive to Framingham via I-90 and take the Logan Express shuttle in. This is probably the best solution for speed and cost. One way tickets are $12, $22 for roundtrip. Parking is $7/day. http://www.massport.com/logan-airport/to-from-logan/transportation-options/logan-express/framingham/ If you want to park somewhere closer, you could park in Springfield and take Peter Pen to Boston South Station. Most trips are 1:45 - 2:15 long. >From Boston South you can take a bun, about a 20 minute ride. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Oh. If they happen to already have GA, you can ask for GA's numbers. (I expect people are likely to hook up with GA, even if they don't really know how to use it -- Google does do some marketing for that.) > > Thanks for clarifying. > > Shel Horowitz - "The Transformpreneur"(sm) > ________________________________________________ > Watch (and please share) my TEDx Talk, > "Impossible is a Dare: Business for a Better World" > *http://www.ted.com/tedx/events/11809 > ** > * > (move your mouse to "event videos") > > Contact me to bake in profitability while addressing hunger, > poverty, war, and catastrophic climate change > > Twitter: @shelhorowitz > > * First business ever to be Green America Gold Certified > * Inducted into the National Environmental Hall of Fame > > http://goingbeyondsustainability.com > mailto:shel at greenandprofitable.com * 413-586-2388 > Award-winning, best-selling author of 10 books. Over the years occasionally I checked its estimates with the traffic of my firm's bigger clients as shown by Google Analytics, and the estimates we're quite far off. I just put on my todo list to do the same check for similarweb, though that todo list's height grazes the moon, so my team probably won't get to it for several weeks, in part because such information is rarely central to my firm's work. This opens to the more general topic that the accuracy of the reports produced by digital marketing tool suites that are under $3,000/mo, and some that over that cost, have major inaccuracies. If they are consistently inaccurate, they can still be useful, but I have not taken the considerable time needed to ascertain consistency of inaccuracy by which relative numbers would be useful. This is an *insane* ripoff. Question: by QB you mean "QuickBooks", right? And by contacting QB for tech support you mean Intuit? If this is indeed Intuit, it appears that Intuit has entered the ransomware business (actually, Intuit has been the "ransomware business" for some time). Is the old computer still functional? Is the data "sane" on the old computer? If QB 2019 desktop is still working properly on the old computer, it might be possible to exprt the data to some other format, that in turn can be imported into GnuCash. In this particular case, a user was logged into their account on their account and then logged into the account on a computer using an agent switcher for Chrome. The purpose of an agent switcher is to "trick" Instagram into thinking a laptop device is mobile or an Ipad. At the same time, a third person was making attempts to set the Instagram account on Hootsuite. The account was logged out of on the laptop and the password was no longer working. The original user used their phone to do a password reset on their phone. Each new password would not work. As an aside, the Instagram account was set up on an email that is no longer actually in use, but gets forwarded to another account. After several password resets, the account disappeared from the users phone. Please let me know if you have any advisement on this issue-what the problem might be and troubleshooting ideas. Most of the "problems" I have with LastPass are because some websites have "strange" ideas about security, passwords, and have way too much fun with JavaScript (well, lots of websites have way too much fun with JavaScript and way too much clever use of JavaScript and CSS files, but that is a whole 'nother can of worms...). > > Thanks so much, Jill Connolly > jillvox at jillconnolly.com > 617.921.JILL (-5455) > ?????? The VOIP service Vonage has joined the sadly swelling ranks of such businesses these days. Vonage was excellent for years, but recently they outright lied about a need to upgrade, which process cost ~$1400 in employee time and my lost billable time. Although, after hours of trying to get in touch with a manager, they admitted to the lies, they have offered no recompense. Vonage's 1 star and tons of complaints at BBB shows that HT'ers should beware of Vonage, and of course don't chose them if you seek such a solution. So, my firm begins searching for a new VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol telephone service). We'll consider Comcast, but I know there are less expensive and perhaps better solutions out there. FYI, thanks again for everyone's recommendations about a good local bank. Yesterday, we completed the move from the failing ESB to the by far most recommended Greenfield Savings Bank. I've only got a single phone number with them, and an unlimited USA/Canada plan for $20/mo plus $5/mo for incoming, plus a ~$50 ATA/router. I know I could add additional lines, although I don't know enough to say that they are a good choice for a larger enterprise -- I'd suggest you take at least a look and see whether it looks worth inquiring. We are moving to Spain (hence the transfer of our landlines to VOIP) and out of interest/comparison moved our residential line to a different provider, Ooma, who also appear to support larger business needs. They have a very different business model, at least for the residential service: pay $100 up front for the device and the service is taxes-only (~$5/mo) "forever"... we'll see how long "forever" lasts. Again, totally happy with the quality and service so far. Maybe neither of these suits your needs but thought it worth passing along. Now we've got a plane to catch! It will be used a presentation room, well-darkened with maybe 20-30 people. We don't need a cinema level projector,? we'd like something on the high side of home movie theater (although for some people, they'd want way more than we need, so that might not be a good description) Anyway, used to be $1,500 and up, now it looks like units in the $3-500 range will do what we need. Hdmi of course, VGA might be nice for older laptops, USB for slide showing remote control would be good, not sure why wifi is needed although some offer it. Does need to be readily available (not tomorrow, by Sept 10 would be good) Anything else we'd need ??
