Here are the details: Senior Electronics Design Engineer Digital and analog board level design forCMI’s line of electric vehicle charging stations, fleet management systems and workforce management systems. Education: BS in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years’ experience. Requirements: Hardware Engineer, board level design, schematic entry, embedded microcontrollers and microprocessors, DSP, digital circuit design, analog circuit design, linear and switching power supplies, design and product specifications, driver level embedded software, C programming. Responsibilities: Schematic entry and component selection for microcontroller based systems. Design real-time microcontroller base systems involving extensive serial and USB communication. Ability to implement various serial protocols. Ability to interface with LCD, VFD both character and graphic panels. Oversee circuit board layout to meet design and manufacturability requirements. Write embedded software from prototype “bring up” to “release” for production version. Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, and systems. Oversee engineering life cycle of hardware products including architecture, design, and implementation. Enhancement of existing legacy designs. Work with purchasing department to qualify and approve parts. Working knowledge of I2C and SPI buses. Additional Skills: Excellent communication skills including technical documents and specification writing. Must have a quality-first attitude throughout the entire design process such that the designs produced are robust and reliable. Attention to detail in every aspect of the design cycle. Software must be fully documented and commented. Schematics must be done neatly and logically. Ability to source and select components that meet design and cost requirements. Knowledge of FCC, CE and UL etc. compliance requirements. Knowledge of embedded Linux and Windows operating systems. Background with Renesas and Microchip products would be a plus.
