We have a permanent opportunity in the Amherst, MA area for a Manual QA
tester.  The candidate MUST have Agile methodology background. This is a
tester who is versed on the application side.  Here is the job description.
The pay range is $65-70K.

 

We have a full time position for a manual QA Application Systems Analyst.
The QA Application Systems Analyst is responsible for conducting manual
quality testing activities for the software development team. The QA
Application Systems Analyst will be analyzing application systems, creating
test case documentation, and executing test plans.  The successful QA
Application Systems Analyst will have proven experience ensuring that
complex software applications are performing as designed as well as
development and testing following the Agile methodology.  As a member of the
QA team, the QA Analyst works with off-site QA resources as well as the
local team. The QA Analyst will also be monitoring testing and recommending
quality improvements, and working in an independent setting and maintaining
schedules is a major component of this position.  The QA Analyst must also
be able to work in a team environment.

Requirements

    

         3+ years experience in software development testing processes and

methodologies for Web-based applications

         Excellent knowledge and understanding of cross-browser
compatibility issues and testing

         3+ years experience in the development life cycle and QA processes

         Working knowledge of relational database management systems (ORACLE
and SQL preferred)

         Agile testing processes and procedures methodologies

         3+ years experience in software multiple development and deployment
environments (including Linux and Windows experience)

         Experience in using client-side technologies (Ajax, Applet,
ActiveX, JavaScript)

         3+ years experience executing test automation scripts and analyzing
test results

         Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision

         Must be passionate about quality

         Experience with integration projects highly desired

         Familiar with SOAP and asynchronous messaging solutions

         Sound knowledge of Java and Windows technologies

         Experience as a technical lead of several QA engineers

         Expertise in Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Project and Access)

         QA certification (CSTE/CSQA/CSQE) is a plus.

         Strong familiarity with Web production, design, and content issues
(HTML,DTML, XML) highly desired
