For anyone needing a better-than-voice digital recorder, I recommend
checking out the Zoom H4 and H2 ³Handy Recorder² units at

I¹ve been  using the H4 unit for about 6 months and while I¹m still figuring
out how to get the best recordings, the quality of the recording is quite
extraordinary and it¹s wonderful to have a completely self-contained unit
that will run for many hours on a couple of AA rechargeable batteries
(2300mAh). It records two or four tracks and records either MP3 128-320kbps
and uncompressed WAV up to 24-bit/96 kHz.
