SRI World Group, Inc. a small sustainability oriented company in
Brattleboro, VT, is seeking someone to work on a variety of Web projects. 
All projects are Linux/Apache/MySQL based with the bulk of projects in Perl.

Job Description:

•Collaborate on design & development of a network of websites relating to
social investing & sustainability reporting. This work includes graphic work
(Photoshop), as well as coding (HTML, Javascript) and programming
(Perl/MySql)
•Monitor & manage two dedicated Linux Web servers (uptime, performance, cron
jobs)
•Monitor & manage a mail server and all associated accounts
•Monitor & manage the internal office network
•Maintain & update different custom CMS (functionality & interface)
•Handle fulfillment & generate reports of various products provided to
public
•Maintain & update a partner's Web site, including new quarterly issues (of
12 to 20 articles) and monthly online calendar of events
•Perform database queries to assist writers & content providing staff
•Develop specifications and work with sub-contracted developers &
programmers 

Qualifications:

•2-4 years of project management experience
•4-6 years of experience with scripting languages (Perl, Javascript)
•4-6 years of experience with markup languages (HTML, CSS)
•A working knowledge of object-oriented programming
•4 years experience Linux/Unix operating system commands/utilities
•Ability to read and write basic shell scripts
•4+ years of experience designing, maintaining and modifying MySQL queries,
tables and databases
