Down load a Knoppix CD, boot, then run a shell script similar to
this:

i=0
while [ $i -lt 7 ]
do 
  dd of=/dev/hda1 if=/dev/zero
  dd of=/dev/hda1 if=/dev/random
  i=$((i+1))
done

Just double-check the device name for the harddrive you want to
erase (the "/dev/hda1" above).
