Im using a PowerBook G4 with a Nokia N80. I am able to sync my  
Address Book (including pictures) on the computer with my contacts on  
the phone. Also calendar and todos synch up. This is working very  
well for me. Apple's iSync software did not support my phone out of  
the box but a quick edit of a text file got it going with out a  
problem. It's easy to locate the needed how to on apple's discussion  
lists. At the time I purchased it it was the only phone with 850 that  
fully synced with iSync (gotta have the pictures). http:// 
www.apple.com/macosx/features/isync/devices.html. That link is  
somewhat out of date but you should check it. I have to use Cingular/ 
ATT where I live so 850 was a requirement in order to maximize coverage.

There is also an application I use called Salling Clicker (http:// 
www.salling.com/) that enables the phone to be used as a remote  
control for applications on the computer. I mainly use it to control  
iTunes. I think the newer Macs come with a remote but I like to  
minimize the number of devices/remotes I have.

I have found that many of the so called Bluetooth phones available  
through the major carriers have a very limited amount of bluetooth  
functionality. I am not familiar with the technical nuts and bolts of  
the issues but many of them will only allow the use of a Bluetooth  
enabled headset. My phone is "unlocked" and not branded to any  
carrier. It has the full range of features but I have to do a little  
more digging around to get answers to questions and support. I will  
be taking a look at the iPhone when it comes out.
