It must have been started by geekazoids--this is an attempt at humor.  The
(classic) mutt tag line is:

    "All mail clients suck.  This one sucks less."
  me, circa 1995"

They are a bit lest modest than the mutt author.

At least they didn't use a recursive acronym like GNU or BASH.
