[Hidden-tech] RAM swap?

Hi Techie folk...

I have two sticks of DDR RAM SODIMMs to fit notebooks. One is 1024Mb 
the other is 256Mb. I have no use for them but could use a 1024Mb DDR 
400 DIMM for a desktop.

Can we arrange an equitable swap?
