The Fostering Arts and Culture Partnership announces its upcoming
Creative Conversation event entitled
Sitting in the Dark: The Role of Audience,
Wednesday, November 8th, at the Pushkin Gallery, 332 Main Street,
Greenfield.
The night begins with a networking reception at 6 pm., and the
discussion begins at 6:30 pm. The event is free and open to the public.
Creative Conversations are moderated panel discussions that are free and
open to the public. Creation Myths will be moderated by poet, Trish
Crapo of Leyden, and the panel includes UMass set designer Miguel
Romero, jazz musician and voice over artist Jill Connolly of Ashfield;
and visual artist and former gallery owner, Gordie Thorne of Amherst.
Images of the participant’s works will be on view.
“Creative Conversations have become a means to set aside the concerns of
the day and take part in an intellectually stimulating event. The
artists themselves will discuss their insights, and Trish will raise
questions and push threads and ideas. The audience is welcome to take
part in a question and answer period,” says Dee Boyle-Clapp, Fostering
Arts and Culture Partnership Project Coordinator.
