[Hidden-tech] (Canon) camera cleaning/repair recommendations?

Big thanks to all of you who responded to my query - lots of great info, 
pointers, and opinions.  The camera is now in the hands of 
http://www.piepulscamera.com/ who will have a cleaned and tuned camera with 
new mirror gasket and re-tightened lens mount waiting for me by Friday for 
under $90 - some might say that's 25% or 30% of a decent digital camera - I 
say it's a bargain to keep using such a fine camera and get to enjoy the 
delights of a slide show later on.  Cheers,
