[Hidden-tech] (Canon) camera cleaning/repair recommendations?

chris,
I don't mean for this to sound trite or...whatever...but I would highly
suggest purchasing a digital camera instead. By the time you get your
old camera fixed (with the possibility of it not being totally fixed)
and pay for the service, you could buy a brand new digital camera. The
ease of use and the instant quality is well worth the dive into this
new territory.
I'm a big fan of analog stuff, but I recently went "digital" with my
photography and I couldn't be happier. go for it - you won't regret
it!
