Locally, the first firm that comes to mind, due to
their reputation, for consumer research is Market
Street Research in Northampton
(http://www.marketstreetresearch.com). They do a
thorough, professional job for an appropirate price
and are well versed in a number of the survey
techniques you mentioned as a part of the project. I
have see their stuff before through several companies
I have worked for as well as some of their
community-based surveying and trend analysis, and it
is always highly regarded. And, no, I'm not employed,
have ever been employed, or have a financial interest
in this endorsement - just a satisfied consumer of
some of their products.....
