[Hidden-tech] Looking for Canon Digital Video camera to borrow

Hi folks,

I have about 8 hours of video that was recorded on a Canon GL2 camera to
Mini-DV tapes. Unfortunately, we have now discovered that the FireWire port
on this very nice camera is bad and we no longer have a way to import the
video to my G5. I've tried using a Panasonic camera that takes Mini-DV, but
the tapes are not playing back well - audio is weak and drops out
occasionally, occasional jerkiness in the video. (Tapes made on the
Panasonic have no such problems).

So, I'm looking for a Canon Mini-DV camera or deck that I could borrow for a
day or two. Anyone willing to lend one? I promise to take good care of it!
