Hello David,
Although I cannot recommend an audio engineer to address your immediate
needs - and I certainly do not want to direct project work from fellow
hidden-tech colleagues - I would suggest a long-term solution that will
eliminate the need to spend money on post-production editing of um's, er's,
ah's, you know's, so's and endless sentences strung along with ands.
As a 4 year member of Toastmasters International, I highly recommend
checking out an area Toastmasters club. Once you learn how to speak and
practice with people just like you, you will find out that eliminating those
er's and um's is only the beginning. (Every meeting has a designated "um"
counter) Toastmasters can certainly unravel the tongue-tied and build
crowd-pleasing skills and confidence.
You can visit and observe as many meetings and/or clubs as you would like
and you may likely find out why it can be your businesses' best kept
secret - regardless of your current speaking abilities.
Imagine the "residual lifetime value" if you never again had to spend $$$ on
editing um's and ah's and your speeches were meaningful, memorable and worth
listening to over and again. (Spend your money on sound engineering for
professional reproduction and give the editors some quality work to do.
Editing um's and ahs is boring and monotonous to talented professionals.)
Toastmasters offers a proven way to improve your communication
skills. By participating in a fun and supportive Toastmasters group, you'll
become a better speaker and leader and gain confidence to succeed in
whatever path you've chosen in life.
My good friend Joanne Goding of Moss Nutrition is the Immediate Past
President of the
Northampton Club and she can provide specific club info.

| Hi folks...
|
| Does anyone know a sound person who specializes in cleaning up
| lecture audios. Taking out the extraneous er's and um's and boosting
| / balancing levels as needed, etc...
|
| I know there are folks that specialize in this, but have not been
| able to find one.
|
| Suggestions?
| Thanx.
| David
