I had a Mac Pro. I used Bootcamp to run Windows so I could do my video editing with Vegas Pro. That was 10 years ago.

Vegas is wonderful. I wish it were available on Mac. I find it much easier to use than Premier or Final Cut.
Those are my two cents.

If you are using your Hackintosh for personal use, then you may not run legal problems…

However, while the methods Apple uses to prevent macOS from being installed on non-Apple hardware are protected from commercial circumvention in the United States by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA),[4] specific changes to the law regarding the concept of jailbreaking that permitted the practice has thrown such and similar circumvention methods into a grey area and even made some of them perfectly legal when carried out by end-users for personal use. (From Wikipedia)

For commercial use, I would think long and hard about this.

I use a PC running Resolve and Vegas Pro for my video work. It did need upgrades (memory, disk space), but is more than useable. Might it be cheaper to switch you software to a less expensive PC platform? Just food for though.

Hi there.  My application is high end video editing.  Need lots of processing power and a robust GPU (nVidia, CUDA).  I'm deeply invested in MAC software but looking for an alternative to over-priced, high-end Mac hardware (common refrain, I know).

I have some experience and may be able to help.  It mostly boils down to what your reasons are for wanting one. Got a particular type of work or hardware setup In mind?
