[Hidden-tech] Target the Journalism Job Market (4/11)

 We've invited four journalists to join us for a panel on April 11th at 6
PM in Amherst. The panelists will discuss targeting opportunities in the
media job market. Their experience includes online news, local newspapers,
social media, journalism education, science communication, and business
news. They are all based in New England. They have a diverse range of
levels of professional experience.

Dinner will be provided by Online News Association.

Lara Salahi is an assistant professor of broadcast and digital journalism
at Endicott College. She instructs undergraduates in the best practices for
writing, reporting and producing online media. She has extensive experience
at ABC News, CBS News, and The Boston Globe. She holds a master’s degree in
health communication from Emerson College.

Kim Krieger is a research writer at the University of Connecticut. She is a
science writer and media relations professional with extensive experience
and contacts within popular science magazines and trade publications. She
covered the energy industry for Argus Media for many years. Previously, she
completed a degree from McGill University in physics and geophysics.

Aviva Luttrell is a multimedia reporter at MassLive. Her role involves
covering the Worcester renaissance and other statewide news. Earlier, she
worked as a news reporter at The Recorder in Greenfield. She is a graduate
of UMass Amherst’s journalism program.

Kit Maher graduated from the University of Michigan in 2017 with a
bachelor’s degree focused on English and Digital Studies. She moved to
Northampton from Detroit for her role as a social media specialist at
MassLive.
