Thanks, everyone, for your ideas... My research has shown: • Silver Screen isn't really set up, or cost-effective, for small quantities. • Michael's Craft and other similar stores sell DIY plastic buttons which are lesser quality and don't close securely, but are cheap to buy. Creatology is the brand. Several different sizes available. • Guild Art Center in Northampton makes 1" and 1 1/2" buttons for 95¢ - $1.50 each, (less for higher quantities) and if they can, they'll do it in as little as 20 minutes if a small quantity. You provide your own artwork, printed on a full sheet of printer paper, and they punch it out, and assemble the buttons. This is where I'm going to go for this project. Even though the size is a smaller than I initially wanted, the quality and timing wins out.
