I second or third the recommendations for SiteGround. I'm super happy and impressed with their service. I bought 3 years worth of hosting at the discounted rate, making it a really good deal up front. The $15/month regular price feels a little steep, but not if you compare it to other "WordPress/Drupal/Joomla-optimized" services. They have excellent (and easy) server-side caching, integration with CloudFlare, free SSLs (Let's Encrypt), super fast support, and a good control panel. When there have been major security freakouts, be they heartbleed-type or specific WordPress/plugin vulnerabilities, SG has blogged "Oh yeah, we fixed those already; all our servers are protected." They're also at the top of performance comparison trials against "specialized" and "cloud" hosting. Godaddy and Bluehost are usually perfectly decent. I host and maintain a few dozen websites, and these are the worst to deal with in my experience: 1&1, Dreamhost, iPage. Hostgator will probably be added to that list soon. HostGator used to have excellent support, but it has gone downhill. It is also a lot more expensive than others. Recommendations would be appreciated. A couple of sites list Bluehost.com as one of the top, but I'm not sold on any one at this point. > > Thanks, > Allen Cohen > (802) 380-2182 > -- > <1_Badge_Online_small.jpg> > _______________________________________________ > Hidden-discuss mailing list - home page: http://www.hidden-tech.net > Hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net > > You are receiving this because you are on the Hidden-Tech Discussion list. > If you would like to change your list preferences, Go to the Members > page on the Hidden Tech Web site. > http://www.hidden-tech.net/members
