Similar to Maria, I've been a big Dreamhost user for the last few years. Lately their shared hosting has entirely been incapable of hosting a WordPress site - we're talking 5-10 second page loads for very small and optimized sites, and quite a lot of sporadic downtime. Making the switch from shared hosting to Dreampress was definitely a huge improvement, and Dreamhost's support staff are world class. However, I've begun using WP Engine for larger WordPress sites and ecommerce sites, and it's about the best you can do. It's $30/month for an individual site (less if you have a plan with 10+ sites), super fast, exceptionally secure, and you get all kinds of goodies like a CDN and WordPress-customized cache. I'm planning to only host on WP Engine going forward. As others have reported, I've had truly awful experiences with both Bluehost and GoDaddy in the past. --Alex On Thu, Mar 2, 2017 at 12:48 PM Korolov, Maria <maria at korolov.com> wrote: > Allen -- > > I've been using Dreamhost for several years for about a dozen sites, and > have recently upgraded to their Dreampress platform for my highest traffic > site (over 300,000 page views a month). > > I've been super happy with their user-friendly control panels and ease of > installing new sites.
