[Hidden-tech] digitizing slides

Hi Tom,

A few things...

1) Yes, many good resources were shared over the years. I had asked about
this I believe back in Dec. 2015 or so. Do you have access to the email
archives? If not, I would be happy to forward that info to you.

2) As someone mentioned in a recent thread about other services, "Good
cheap, fast. Pick two." (these are my words for it; theirs were similar)
Before recommending an option, I would want to know which two your friend
would like to prioritize.

Best,
Deb

I know we've discussed this here before, but it's a moving target so
hopefully I'm not out of line asking for current ideas..

A friend-of-a-friend in eastern mass has a few thousand 35mm slides to
digitize. I was asked for ideas about what equipment to get to do this,
and I said "you're nuts. Have a service do it."

Being who they are, they'd like a semi-local shop to do the work.. tho
in a pinch a big shop would be OK.. What's the wisdom of the group on
who to go to for this kind of work?

thanks, ...tom
