Much has been said about the durability of Apple chargers, both genuine and
otherwise.

The lack of electrical safety features in the knock-offs has also been
documented, so I would avoid the cheap ones for that reason. That said,
there are wholesalers who don't touch the cheap stuff and sell them for
about $40, but you need a wholesale account. I have had nothing but good
results from those from techrestore.net
