Dear HT folks,

I'm trying to help someone with networking in the non-profit leadership
scene in Western Mass, and perhaps you can help me.

This is a confidential job networking request so I'm not providing his name.

I'm hoping that the HT community can help me generate some new ideas and
connections so I can help him in his search.

He's such a caring and smart person, strong in both left and right brained
talents. I know that some non-profit, socially conscious business, or
academic department would love to have him on board if they knew him.

To help with jogging your thoughts, here are some key facts about his
strengths and interests:

He holds a Master's in Community Economic Development and has over 20 years
experience in non-profit executive leadership related to community economic
development.

He is experienced and passionate about these fields:

   - affordable housing
   - community economic development
   - human services leadership development
   - non-profit strategic planning advising/consulting
   - multi-pronged approaches to community development
   - public policy

He would be a great fit for positions such as:

   - program director
   - chief of operations
   - deputy director
   - associate director
   - housing property assets manager
   - some specific kinds of executive director positions at smaller orgs
   - affordable housing resource development/donor relations
   - affordable housing development

Key strengths:

   - He has a unique ability to genuinely connect and earn trust from
people, including clients, donors, board members, funding sources, and
   strategic partners.
   - Collaborative, team-oriented leader.
   - Responsible financial management.
   - Creative problem solving and strategic thinking.

Any contacts or ideas or networking groups coming to mind? He is open to
employment or contract work.

Thank you for taking a moment to think about it and point me in any
direction that pops to mind. Follow your instincts. Don't dismiss "crazy"
ideas. I'm all ears.

Sincerely,

Val Nelson
