[Hidden-tech] Photo Editing Software for iMac

The Photos.app that comes with the Mac can do these sorts of things,
although I like it quite a bit less than the old iPhoto.app that Apple
provided before.

I generally use GIMP.app (the Gnu Image Manipulation Package) for more
serious work. It's very powerful (more like photoshop), but can
effectively crop, rotate, resize, as well as Adjust Levels. There's a
learning curve, but it's very "easy to use" once you know how it works. :-)

It's worth also mentioning ImageMagick, which is a set of command line
utilities (e.g. convert and mogrify). It doesn't have an "interface",
but if you know what you want to do to a file, it can just do it
directly, without needing to open or save anything.
