Hello! New to the group and thought this might be of interest to some:

Click Workspace, one of the largest membership-based coworking
organizations in the Pioneer Valley, moved into its new multi-level home on
Marketing Street in Northampton in the late spring and has been steadily
developing programming that utilizes the modern, multi-use space to its
full potential. With sponsorship from Common Capital, Click will offer a
series of professional development workshops from late September into
November. Five workshops have been announced, featuring a variety of topics
and presenters. All are open to the public and also offer a reduced
registration fee to members of coworking spaces throughout the region.

   - *Thursday, September 29, 6-8pm: Financing Your Business.* Are you
looking to start or grow your business? Maybe you are not quite sure of
your options, or if you are truly ready. This workshop that will address
those uncertainties by providing information on SBA, traditional bank, and
non-traditional financing options available to small businesses. Attendees
will receive details on what lenders look for in loan clients, as well as
documents they should be familiar with and prepare when seeking financing.
The Q&A session will address specific questions. Presenter: Callie
Niezgoda, a loan officer at *Common Capital*.

   - *Thursday, October 6, 6-8pm:* *Get Out of Your Own Way: How to Win
Sales by Not Trying So Hard.* You can be great at your job, an expert in
your industry, and a poor salesperson, selling for less than you should,
allowing prospects not to get back to you, and wasting time on free
consulting. This workshop addresses why being an expert is different than
knowing how to sell, and what to do about it. Presenter: Nicolas Boillot,
Chief Operating Officer of *SystemOne*, a technology firm headquartered
   at TechSpring in Springfield.

   - *Thursday, October 13, 6-8pm: Present LIke a Pro: 7 Ways to Avoid
Being Super Boring & Scared on Stage.* In this 90-minute interactive
workshop, you’ll learn the seven key strategies professional speakers use
to engage their audience, leave a lasting impression, and give a
presentation that not only educates, but has the audience talking about you
for days or weeks to come. Presenter: *Angela Lussier*, Speaker | Author
   | Trainer

   - *Thursday, October 27, 6-8pm: Great Presentations: Using PowerPoint
for Good Instead of Evil.* Every so often, some well-meaning soul
insists we rid the world of PowerPoint. Until that day comes, it’s up to
all of us to learn how to design and give really good presentations. Chris
Landry has designed award-winning presentations and had his work featured
in the book Presentation Zen. He will go over the reasons most
presentations are terrible and offer some simple steps for rocking the
house with slides that will inspire your audiences. Presenter: Christopher
   Landry, *Landry Communications*

   - *Thursday, November 10, 6-8-pm: A Lawyer, an Accountant, and an
Insurance Agent Walk Into a Bar...* Join us for an evening of inquiry
and fun learning from four experts in business, law, insurance, and
accounting. The audience will join Jane (the entrepreneur) who will be
having a conversation with three experts: a lawyer, an accountant, and an
insurance agent. Through this unique event, attendees will have the
opportunity to ask those burning questions they may have about their
business that only a few experts can answer. This event is co-sponsored by
the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Western Regional Office
(MSBDC). Ms. Samalid Hogan, Regional Director of the MSBDC, will be the
facilitator. The Lawyer: *Michael Gove, Gove Law Office, LLC*. The
Accountant: *Charlotte Cathro, CPA*. The Insurance Agent: *Jack Toner,
   Sumner & Toner Insurance Agency*.

Registration for each workshop is $10 for the public and $5 for coworking
members. Complete session information and registration links are available
on Click’s event’s website at http://clickworkspace.org/events/.
