Hi Andrew,

If the computer is running OK on Yosemite (10.10), it should run OK on
Sierra (10.12), though my professional recommendation based on client
experiences is to avoid the Sierra upgrade — or El Capitan (10.11) — for
the time being, unless there is a specific need for it.

Regarding upgrading an Air, the RAM is soldered to the logic board and not
changeable but with a solid state drive, that matters less than it used to.
Keep the available space above 10 GB for best performance. Your storage
