I believe there is a professional version of TurboTax so your professional tax person may not be using the version you can get at Costco. As a sole proprietor I use TurboTax and then have the return looked over by my wife's cousin who happens to be the CFO of a large non-profit and so far she hasn't had me change anything. Her dad, before he died, was also a professional accountant and he also didn't find any improvements to my TurboTax generated return either. For a sole proprietor of a simple, from an accounting standpoint, business TurboTax should be fine. If you want to be extra sure I'd recommend doing TurboTax and then going to a tax professional and see what the differences are. In all likelihood any difference the tax professional may find you'll be able to integrate into TurboTax the next year without the tax professional. Andy.
