[Hidden-tech] replacing iPhone 5 battery

I should remember this from when I replaced my iPhone 3GS battery, but 
don't: Will I lose my contacts when I remove the iPhone 5 battery when I 
replace it?

My iCloud has not been backing up my phone, insisting I need to 
upgrade/buy more space in the cloud. Bunk. I only backup my contacts and 
apps. My could shouldn't be full. So I guess I have 2 questions. What to 
do about this backup issue.
