We use this attorney/accountant in Belchertown: http://www.galaneklaw.com. He's knowledgeable and extremely affordable, if not always entirely prompt.

For tax advice (advice only — not taking on new clients) we had a useful consult with this guy in Amherst and would recommend seeing him for a business Q&A session: http://www.murphytaxcpa.com (even the website has some useful business info).

I'm an independent software contractor, my wife is going back to grad school, our kid is 7, our puppy is cute, my mom is retired -  we're a dot on the american dream curve.

And now that it is not tax season, we'd love to hear recommendations for people (ideally near Amherst) who can give us Tax Advice.
